Bot Libre provides the "norepeat" on "onrepeat" options on responses for this purpose. These allow you to avoid have the bot repeat the same response in the same conversation.

If you were learning through a script, then you can check the users id/name/type and reject the correction.

In general we do not recommend letting other users teach your bot new responses.

if you did not like what that user was teaching your chatbot?

You could make a script that lets users train the bot with a new response, even with patterns and templates (although this would be more complex). But I would not recommend this, templates allow the execution of code, which you should not allow untrusted users to execute in your bot.

Normally a bot would be trained with patterns and templates from their Training page in their Admin Console. You can grant other users access to your bot from your bot's Users page in its Admin Console.

You will need to convert this to using a <self> tag, which gives you a lot more functionality.

Not sure I understand, both categories are the same, and neither is using a set.

In general if you want to persist something in AIML use the <self> tag.

i.e. <think><self>star.meaning.instantiation =+ #animal</self></think>

Do you have a set named I? The set tag takes the set name.

There is a Learning & Settings option "Fix Case for Template Responses" try enabling or disabling that.

There is no limit to the number of sets.
