"Are you still there?"

Hello again, (nice new editor!)

Is there a way I can program the bot to say something after a certain time period? I realize this might add a whole other dimension, but I've been looking at bot features, and this type of user engagement has a lot of weight. Alternatively, is there a timer tool I could say "ask again in five minutes".

I think that would be something you would want to handle in your client, as through most interfaces the server would not be able to initiate a conversation with a client. It may be possible through the live chat socket interface, but not through the web or API interface.

If you client is JavaScript or Java it would be easy to setup a timer to execute after 5 minutes of inactivity and send the bot either a empty message to trigger its greeting, or a message that you have defined a "Are you still there?" response to.

We could add something like that to our JavaScript SDK if you think it would be useful.

By the way, what does it mean when the bot says "I'm consciousness. I'm alive. I'm test123b."? Especially, when I have all Learning options disabled.

I know it's April Fools Day, but that's a little unusual.

You can disable self awareness from the Learning page. Its seems when it is enabled for one bot right now, it infects all other bots. But if you disable it for one, it will disable it for all of them.

It should go away by tomorrow.
